UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has tested positive to coronavirus.

Johnson personally announced this via his official Twitter handle (@BorisJohnson) at about 12:15pm.

He wrote, "Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus".

"I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus."

Thr Prime Minister has been spearheading government efforts to battle the outbreak of #COVID19 in the UK since earlier this year.
