Nigerians react as Twitter lady praises out-of-job husband for bringing home a chicken for Christmas

She called it her first "Christmas Festival as Mrs".

Aribisala Blessing took to Twitter to praise her husband as "d best husband in d whole universe" for bringing home a live chicken for the Christmas celebration at their home.

She was clearly so excited and prayed for her husband saying, "May God prosper ur way and answer all ur silent prayer as u always make me happy", even as she shared pictures of the chicken and herself while de-feathering it.

This clearly drew the attention of many Nigerians who gave mixed reactions to her post. While some said "Amen" to her post and wished for a happy home like hers', others were bewildered as to why she was so excited because of the chicken.

In addition, there were other Nigerians, mostly women, who reacted by advising Blessing not to kill nor de-feather a chicken by herself next time, but to have her husband do those.

One female Twitter user simply identified as @mystiquesynn said, "God bless your husband for providing. But killing and de-feathering a chicken where he bought it is N100 in the market. It takes them less than 30 mins to kill, defeather and butcher. Saves YOU time, energy and prevents stress. You are still a wife whether you kill chicken or not".

To which Blessing replied saying, "U av a point my sister, but I appreciate it like dis I swear".

Another female user @Joyce65934172 also said "So as best as he is ,he can't defeather and butcher it? All my hole Christmas with my husband ,I HV never touch, kill or defeather a fowl. So no be everything we dey post fro twiiter".

To which Blessing again responded saying, "He plan to do everything for me but I believe in natural things. I be ibile omo Ekiti nimi. So our husband is not slaves, once he get me dis I need to appreciate him like tomorrow no go come Thanks".

Blessing further went on to explain in her post's thread that the reason for her joy and excitement at what her husband did was that even despite being a contract security man who has been working without pay since 2016, he was able to buy a chicken for her this Christmas.

The couple appear to be newly weds, and it is clear that Blessing is so happy with her husband and is positively hopeful about their future together as a couple.

We wish Blessing and her husband, as well as every other couple out there more love, joy, peace, provision, and happiness in their homes.
