The beautiful artistry and creativity that goes into making music continues to both inspire and sooth me every time.

Today, a large percentage of the world is on lockdown because of the coronavirus outbreak which has spread to many countries of the world.

In Nigeria, for example, the country is on day 5 of a nationwide lockdown on all activities, on federal government's order. Everyone is at home, except some essential workers in some critical service sectors of the economy.

There's a moody spirit everywhere, and there's fear too. Yes. People are afraid that they'll catch the virus. Some are afraid that the pandemic will worsen in the country, giving rise to the extention of the lockdown beyond the initial 14 days that government has set for it.

But, the world has seen other outbreaks of disease in the past, and conquered. So, in Nigeria's pidgin English, one might say, "We go win o" to this one too. And that is the message of Cobhams Asuquo's latest song, dedicated to our common struggle as a society to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cobhams is a Nigerian musician, songwriter and producer, who despite being visually impaired has worked hard to excel highly in his musical craft.
