FAKE NEWS ALERT: Governor Uzodinma Did Not Inaugurate Any Emir in Imo State

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma in a handshake with the newly appointed Chief Imam of Imo state, Suleiman Njoku during a courtesy visit to the governor by the leaders of the Muslim community in the state.

Social media has been awash with news that Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State inaugurated a new Emir of Imo State yesterday. The Paul Anunaso Blog has independently confirmed that this information is in fact completely false and misleading.

According to our sources in the Owerri Municipal capital of Imo state, what actually happened was that the newly appointed Chief Imam of Imo state, Suleiman Njoku, led a delegation of the leaders of the Muslim community in the state to pay a courtesy visit to the governor.

Suleiman Njoku, a native of Mbaise in Imo state, took over the office of Chief Imam upon the recent demise of the previous occupant of the office, Dauda Onyeagocha who was a native of Owerri, Imo state also.

The Paul Anunaso Blog remains committed to countering the social menace of Fake News.
