MUSIC VIDEO OF THE WEEK 40: 'HELLO GOD' BY DOLLY PARTON

When we look around us and daily see the hate, crime, and dehumanizing things that are done by our fellows and sometimes we too, we suddenly realize how deeply spiritual our problem as a society is because we have lost our moral compass. In today's world, crime has become institutionalized, and terrorism now has religious coloration. Killing in the name of God is now common place.
This moral compass that we've lost is the godly (not religious) attitude that is God-given in us towards ourselves, our neighbors, and our environment.
In this week's Music Video of the Week, Dolly Parton cries out "Hello God", leading us to understand and seek God to change our hearts in order for us to live better lives with our neighbors and within our environment. The song was released in 2002, and will inspire you into deep reflection on your personal attitude and moral compass within the society. It is my hope that it will show you your need for God.
Dolly Parton is an American country music star from Nashville, Tennessee.
LYRICS
Hello God, are you out there?
Can you hear me, are you listenin' any more?
Hello God, if we're still on speakin' terms
Can you help me like before?
I have questioned your existence
My resistance leaves me cold.
Can you help me go the distance?
Hello God, hello, hello.
This old world has gone to pieces
Can we fix it, is there time?
Hate and violence just increases;
We're so selfish, cruel and blind.
We fight and kill each other,
In your name, defending you.
Do you love some more than others?
We're so lost and confused!
Hello God, are you out there?
Can you hear us, are you listenin' any more?
Hello God, if we're still on speakin' terms,
Can you help us like before?
Oh, the free will you have given
We have made a mockery of.
This is no way to be livin';
We're in great need of your love,
Hello God!
Hello, hello
Hello God, can't you grant us
Love enough to start again?
Hello God, is there still a chance
That we could make amends?
Hello God, we've learned our lesson
Please God, don't let us go!
Hello, hello
More than ever
Hello God, hello, hello
Hello God, we really need you;
We can't make it without you.
Hello God, we beseech you
In the name of all that's true.
Hello God, please forgive us
For we know not what we do.
Hello God, give us one more chance
To prove ourselves to you
Hello God (hello God)
Hello God
My all time favorite country music girl... I call her girl because she's always young in voice, mind and even in look. God will always hear us I believe.
